We are always happy to share good news and we couldn’t let this little piece go unnoticed.

We are very pleased to announce that our colleague and super team player Jess Clark, has been elected by her peers onto the BAR (British Association of Removers) Young Movers Group Council. Alongside Jordon Bignell they will start their two-year term as Young Movers Councillor’s on 14th May 2021.

Clarks of Amersham has been a member of the BAR for over a decade whose aim is to promote excellence in the removals industry. They regularly inspect members ensuring they fulfil a stringent set of rules & regulations, carry out on-site inspections and monitor customer service and satisfaction levels meaning not all removal companies can become members

The BAR Young Movers

The Young Movers is a group open to all employees of BAR Members or Affiliates aged 40 years and under. Relaunched to its members in 2017 it encourages learning, networking and socialising between the younger people within the removals industry, helping them set up business relationships that will potentially last throughout their careers.

Along with peer networking the primary focus of the group ensures that business knowledge is passed on to a new generation of movers by senior figures from within the industry, thus ensuring that the industry endures for generations to come; with a secondary purpose of improving retention levels in the trade and promoting removals as a career.

Jess Clark said, “I am very honoured to be elected to this council. Having been part of the removals industry for much of my working life and learning from the bottom up this has allowed me to gain real insight and hands-on experience. I want to use my place on the Council to really nurture and encourage the sharing of knowledge and experience so that we can all learn how to move our businesses forward and continue to improve industry standards.”

We really congratulate Jess Clark from Clarks of Amersham and Jordon Bignell from Britannia Quickmove for their new positions and wish them well. Watch this space.
