What are you plans for the Jubilee weekend?

 

As we all prepare to celebrate the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee there are events, concerts and street parties taking place across the whole country.  Here are just a few of the events taking place in the Buckinghamshire area over the Jubilee weekend.  Just follow the links for more detail.

Radnage Parish Council  Jubilee Beacon & Fun Day. They will be lighting the Jubilee Beacon at 9.45pm Thursday 2nd June and holding their Queens Platinum Jubilee Street Party on Saturday 4th June.

 

Marlow Town Council are holding a free event at Waddedson Hall A Jubilee inspired Vintage Afternoon Tea on Saturday 4th June 12.30 – 6.30pm Waddesdon Parish Council will also be lighting the Beacon on Thursday 2 June at 9:45pm.

 

Higginson Park Marlow Friday 3rd June 11am – 5pm are holding 1950s entertainment, fairground rides, food stalls, and a bar. Entry is free. Perfect event for all the family.

 

Ashridge House in Berkhamsted  is having a weekend of events. Best of British Car Show on 4th June, Jubilee Dinner and Dancing on 4th June & The Giant Jubilee Picnic on 5th June.

 

Chiltern Open Air Musuem in Chalfont Saint Giles will be enjoying the sounds of Jeep Jump Jive on the 2nd & 3rd June.

 

Amersham are having a “Picnic in the Park” at King George V playing fields on 2nd June. Live music, market stalls, funfair rides. On 3rd June Soundforce Big Band and soloist Josie Florence will be performing in the Memorial Gardens in Old Amersham.

 

Stowe as part of the National Trust is holding four days of events. Beacon Lighting on 2nd June, Grand Opening of the Royal Route on 3rd June, Big Royal picnic on 3rd June and “Bring your own street party on 5th June.

 

Chiltern Society Roadshow will be running a stall at the Queens Jubilee Fete at Great Missenden on 4th June.  Fun for all the family, live music, funfair, dog show, food and drink.

 

Chesham on the 2nd June have the High Street Platinum Street Party, with musical entertainment and more. There will be street entertainment, craft activities for kids, face painting, a fairground ride, live music and a kids fancy dress competition.

 

Bletchley Park will be celebrating across all four days. Each afternoon has live music and entertainment, suitable for the whole family. Take to the dance floor in their music marquee or grab a deckchair and relax whilst listening to live music performances with a different band each day.
