The job was booked to enable my elderly father to downsize with minimum stress and I thank all the team at Clarks for respecting that. First, they packed personal items and removed specified furniture for storage. They then disposed of the rest to auction, charity and recycling where possible, including delivering a heavy lathe to Workaid. The team were cheerful, positive, resilient and ‘can do’. Packing was done incredibly carefully by Hamish the day before the move. On the day of the move, the Clarks’ team was organised, efficient, so helpful and considerate of the emotional upheaval. In particular, all my garden pots (there are lots and one, a dwarf willow tree, is heavy) were moved carefully. Once I had unpacked 3 weeks later, Andy responded quickly to the call to collect the boxes. The only disappointment was the third-party company Clarks of Amersham partners with to manage utility and address updates. The team had these packed for us and loaded without any fuss, and everything arrived in our new property without any knocks or damage.Their experience was obvious as furniture and garden items were set-up in logical layouts at the new house without lots of questions to us on where to put things - saving us a lot of time and energy on what was a very long day!Clarks aren’t the cheapest but are well worth the investment.
