When you move home, it is standard practice for you to pay for your removal in advance. What happens then if your chosen remover suffers financial failure before your moving date? You would lose any payments you may have already made.
Because Clarks of Amersham is a member of the (BAR) British Association of Removers we offer you complete protection with the Advanced Payment Guarantee Scheme.
What does this mean for you?
- The scheme covers advanced payments (cash, BACS payments and/or debit card payments) made for private residential contracts concluded in the United Kingdom (only), in order to protect YOU against the risk of a BAR member in financial failure.
- It is designed to cover Domestic, European and International moves.
- The APG scheme is just one of the many benefits of using a BAR Member, as well as the BAR Code of Practice; Members must also reach and maintain the Criteria of BAR Membership.
- The BAR also provide an Alternative Disputes Resolution scheme for consumers, which is handled independently by an approved Consumer ADR body under the ADR Regulations 2015.
What does it cover?
- Every BAR Member is covered by the scheme
- Cash, BACS and debit card advanced payments
- All private residential removal & storage contracts concluded in the UK
For more information on the scheme you can visit the BAR website here and read about the APG in more detail.
