Estate agent records one of the biggest month-on-month falls following Brexit vote.

According to a recent article in The Guardian the average London house price is down by £30,000 in July, with the average price in the capital now £527,349. Estate agents Haart recorded July as the biggest month-on-month decline.

Haart reported that nationally prices went down by 0.9% with the average UK house price at £233,254. the avearge rent across the UK has dropped as well.

According to Paul Smith, chief executive of Haart  “house prices are still ahead over the year and transaction activity remains robust. We’ve actually seen a bounce in transactions in July, with a lot of buyers pressing ahead with their purchase now that the referendum is over. Sellers are cutting deals to bypass the uncertainty in the wider economy and plucky buyers are taking advantage,”
