Amersham residents were invited to nominate a buisiness they felt deserved an accolade for their contribution to the local community.  BAR member, Clarks of Amersham has been a long term supporter and sponsor of schools, charity groups, sports clubs and events in the local community.  This year they won the Business of the Year award at the 2013 Citizen of the Year Awards.

Owner Michael Clark said he was very honoured to accept the Business award 2013 on behalf of all of the team . We are very much aware of our social responsibility in the area and feel as a home grown business it is our duty to support the local community in any way we can.”

Mimi Harker, the outgoing Mayor of Amersham said “this award goes to a family run company who are pillars of the community. They have helped with every community function I have participated in and their distinctive blue lorries are often used as stages or platforms at our carnivals and festivals.”
