Chiltern Chamber award Clarks of Amersham special award

Chiltern Chamber serve the interest of businesses in the Chesham, Amersham and Chiltern region. Recently they held their 2014 Special Recognition Awards where Clarks of Amersham won for services to the business community and business growth.

 

Michael Clark – Managing Director of the company was very proud to pick up the award on behalf of all of his team.

Clarks said “We’ve been members of Chiltern Chamber for a number of years and found it a very rewarding experience. They are the voice of Local Business in the area with the community and politicians. As members we have found that it has helped open many new doors and opportunities. There has been plenty of socialising and great networking events along the way, but most importantly it has really opened our eyes to how as a local business we have a responsibility to our local community. We have been very honoured recently to have received a special recognition award from Chiltern Chamber for services to the business community and business growth.”

 

Other award winners

Other award winners were Chiltern Hills Academy for managing a major rebuild project whilst improving student achievement and attainment. Principal Kevin Patrick accepted the award on behalf of the Academy.

Stirling Maguire also won for leading a fundraising campaign to re-hang the Chesham Town Bell in time for 100th anniversary of the start of the 1st World War. You can see the Chesham Clock Tower Bell video here.

 

Second time a winner

This is the second year Clarks of Amersham has picked up a Chiltern Business Award. Back in 2013 they won Business of the Year when Amersham residents were asked to nominate a local business they felt worthy of the award for their contribution to the local community.  Clarks specialise in the Removals and Storage industry for Homes and Businesses, providing document archiving, storage and data destruction for local businesses but also have a large team of professional removers working around the South East of England moving people in and out of their new homes.
